New Delhi, June 9: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s daughter Parakala Vangamayi tied the knot with Pratik Doshi in an intimate ceremony in Bengaluru on Saturday. The wedding was attended by close friends and relatives, and no political party leaders were invited.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Udupi Adamaru Mutt in Bengaluru. The couple exchanged vows in front of a traditional Brahmin priest, and the ceremony was followed by a feast for the guests.
Vangamayi, who is a lawyer, met Doshi, who is a businessman, through mutual friends. The couple got engaged in December last year.
Sitharaman, who is the first woman to hold the finance ministry portfolio in India, was not present at the wedding ceremony as she is currently in Washington DC for the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting.
However, she took to Twitter to congratulate her daughter on her wedding. “Congratulations to my daughter Parakala Vangamayi and Pratik Doshi on their wedding. May they have a lifetime of happiness together,” she tweeted.
The wedding of Vangamayi and Doshi has been the talk of the town in recent days. The couple has been featured in several newspapers and magazines, and their wedding has been described as “a royal affair” by some media outlets.
However, the couple has maintained a low profile and has not spoken to the media about their wedding. They have also not shared any pictures from the ceremony on social media.
Despite the lack of media attention, the wedding of Vangamayi and Doshi has been a joyous occasion for their family and friends. The couple is now looking forward to starting their new life together.
