Former Indian Cricketer Aakash Chopra Drops Bombshell: No Place in Playing XI for Popular Batsman Sanju Samson

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra has stated that there is no place for Sanju Samson in the playing XI of the Indian cricket team. In an article for News18, Chopra stated that Samson’s inconsistency with the bat is a cause for concern and that the Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman has failed to make the most of his opportunities in the international arena.

Chopra highlighted Samson’s recent performances in the T20I series against England, where he scored just 48 runs in four innings. He also pointed out that Samson has a poor record in first-class cricket, with an average of just 37.4, which is not good enough for a batsman vying for a place in the Indian team.

Chopra opined that while Samson has the talent to succeed at the highest level, he needs to work on his consistency and convert his starts into big scores. The commentator also stated that Samson’s tendency to play flashy shots and get out cheaply is not acceptable at the international level.

In conclusion, Chopra stated that while Samson is a popular player among fans, his performances have not been up to the mark and that the Indian team needs to focus on selecting players who can consistently perform at the highest level.
