Jaguars-Cowboys Preseason Opener Excites Fans with Touchdowns, Interceptions

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys kicked off the 2023 NFL preseason on Saturday night with a thrilling game at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys won 14-10, but both teams showed flashes of potential.

The Jaguars got off to a fast start, scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. Trevor Lawrence connected with Marvin Jones Jr. for a 19-yard score to give Jacksonville a 7-0 lead.

The Cowboys responded with a field goal to cut the lead to 7-3, but the Jaguars added another touchdown to take a 14-3 lead into halftime. Lawrence threw a 24-yard pass to Laviska Shenault Jr. for the score.

The Cowboys came out strong in the second half, scoring a touchdown to cut the lead to 14-10. However, they were unable to score again, and the Jaguars held on for the victory.

Both teams had their moments in the game. Lawrence threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns, while Dak Prescott threw for 214 yards and an interception. Ezekiel Elliott had 68 yards rushing for the Cowboys, while James Robinson had 55 yards rushing for the Jaguars.

The game was a great way to start the preseason for both teams. The Jaguars are looking to build on their 2022 season, which saw them win seven games. The Cowboys are hoping to return to the playoffs after missing out last season.
