Liverpool lost a seven-goal thriller to Bayern Munich in Singapore on Thursday, as a late goal from substitute Frans Kratzig gave the German champions a 4-3 victory.
The Reds had led for much of the match, with goals from Cody Gakpo, Virgil van Dijk, and Luis Diaz giving them a 3-1 advantage at half-time.
However, Bayern came out firing in the second half and scored three goals in quick succession to level the scores.
Kratzig then popped up with the winner in the 90th minute, as Bayern claimed a deserved victory.
The result will be a blow to Liverpool, who were looking to build momentum ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
However, there were some positives to take from the match, with new signing Darwin Nunez scoring his first goal for the club.
The Uruguayan striker was a constant threat throughout the game, and his goal will give him a confidence boost heading into the new season.
Liverpool will now turn their attention to their next pre-season friendly, which is against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
