The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 20-19 in a close preseason battle on Saturday night. The Ravens extended their preseason winning streak to 24 games thanks to a big day from veteran kicker Justin Tucker, who hit two field goals and an extra point.
The Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on a 40-yard field goal by Jake Elliott and a 1-yard touchdown run by Kenneth Gainwell. The Ravens responded with a field goal of their own in the second quarter, but the Eagles extended their lead to 17-3 on a 2-yard touchdown run by Miles Sanders.
The Ravens got back into the game in the third quarter, scoring 10 unanswered points to cut the lead to 17-13. Tucker hit a 24-yard field goal and Tyler Huntley threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to James Proche.
The Eagles retook the lead in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard field goal by Elliott, but the Ravens answered with a field goal of their own to tie the game at 19-19. Tucker then kicked the game-winning field goal with 1:13 remaining in the game.
Tucker was the star of the game for the Ravens, going 3-for-3 on field goals and 1-for-1 on extra points. Huntley also had a solid game, completing 13 of 19 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.
For the Eagles, Jalen Hurts was 12-for-18 passing for 103 yards and a touchdown. Gainwell led the team with 54 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Ravens and Eagles will both be back in action next week for their second preseason games. The Ravens will host the New York Giants and the Eagles will travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
