A source told TMZ that Kelly’s condition is “really serious” and that she has been in and out of consciousness. The source added that doctors are still working to determine if there are any clots around her heart.
Blood clots can be a serious medical condition, and they can be life-threatening if they break loose and travel to the lungs. Symptoms of blood clots can include pain, swelling, redness, and warmth in the affected area. Other symptoms can include shortness of breath, chest pain, and coughing up blood.
The exact cause of blood clots is not always known, but there are a number of risk factors, including long periods of immobility, smoking, obesity, and certain medications.
