Very troubling sign’: Enten on a stat that could sink DeSantis’ campaign

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is seen as a potential frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, but a new stat is raising some concerns.

According to CNN data analyst Harry Enten, DeSantis’ fundraising has slowed significantly in recent months. In the first quarter of 2023, DeSantis raised $10.1 million, which was down from $12.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Enten called the slowdown in fundraising a “very troubling sign” for DeSantis’ campaign. He said that it could be a sign that donors are starting to lose faith in DeSantis’ chances of winning the nomination.

“This is a very troubling sign for DeSantis,” Enten said. “It suggests that donors are starting to lose faith in his chances of winning the nomination. If he doesn’t start raising more money, it could be a real problem for his campaign.”

DeSantis’ campaign has not yet commented on the slowdown in fundraising. However, it is worth noting that DeSantis is still a very wealthy man, and he has a large personal war chest.

Even so, the slowdown in fundraising is a concerning sign for DeSantis’ campaign. It suggests that he may not be as strong a candidate as some people thought.

If DeSantis does not start raising more money, it could hurt his chances of winning the nomination. It could also make it more difficult for him to compete in the general election.
